This National Safe Work Month, become a BeUpstanding Champion and encourage your workplace to stand up, sit less and move more.

High levels of sitting is a work health and safety risk and may cause chronic health conditions and poor work performance.

Safe Work Australia is proud to support BeUpstanding – an evidence-based program designed to address the health and financial costs associated with excess sitting.
The BeUpstanding trial and Champion Toolkit encourages workers to share the health impacts of long periods of sitting in an office environment with their organisations and register their workplace up to be part of the trial.

To find out more about the trial go to the BeUpstanding website or watch the video on the BeUpstanding Champion toolkit.

Promote the safety champions in your workplace by sharing their work health and safety initiatives and best practice on social media by using the hashtags #safetychampion #safeworkmonth.

This site is undergoing constant refinement. If you have noticed something that needs attention or have ideas for the site please let us know.
